The work is part of James Rizzi's Classics series, which was created in 1998 and 1999. James Rizzi took works by famous masters and interpreted them in his own way ("rizzified"). In this case, it is the work "Un dimanche après-midi à l'Île de la Grande Jatte" by Georges Seurat from 1886, which hangs in the Art Institute of Chicago.
