Piet Mondrian (1872-1944) was a Dutch painter of classical modernism. The artist, who created the style of Neoplasticism, is considered the most important representative of Dutch Constructivism and of what Theo van Doesburg called Concrete Art. With his later work, he was one of the founders of abstract painting.
