The work is part of James Rizzi's Classics series, which was created in 1998 and 1999. James Rizzi took works by famous masters and interpreted them in his own way ("rizzified"). In this case, it is the work "Le Déjeuner des canotiers" by Auguste Renoir from 1875, which hangs in the Phillips Collection in Washington, DC.
