The work is part of James Rizzi's Classics series, which was created in 1998 and 1999. James Rizzi took works by famous masters and interpreted them in his own way ("rizzified"). In this case, it is the work "La Grande Odalisque" by Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres from 1814, which hangs in the Louvre.
